The days of my youth, and still I come back to this age-old RPG because, for the grind it can be, it's fun, simple, and easy to play... and get lost for hours playing. That being said, there's some flaws, but big pros too.Pros-Character customization is honestly limitless, you could build yourself as a dualwielding spearmaster, a knight with sword and shield, a twin axe berserker, a staff wielding mage, or any combination of these things. With the limitless types of enchantments, socketed weapons to put gems in for a power buff, and the great loot you can find, you will in time always become the hero you can be.-NPCs, while sparing in amount, each have their own lives and quest stories to follow as you do their tasks. Each NPC also has a specific role, whether to buy and sell you fish, armor and weapons, potions, magical gear, or anything else you may need.-Dungeon with unique floors. The main dungeon, well only dungeon, is extremely deep, and each floor could take a trip or two to fully loot and explore, and gets more difficult the deeper you descend.-Monsters with varied stats and weaknesses. Not everything can be brute forced, sometimes you need to use the magic you have or perhaps run away and switch gear on the fly.Cons-Lack of inventory space. You and your pet have nearly equal amounts of storage, you just get all the weapon slots and armor slots compared to their jewelry slots alone. But the storage space in inventory is still the same... and it's not much. Some weapons can take up to 8 squares if not more, and they're not rotatable. Still, once you learn the spell to make a town portal at will, it gets easier.-Grinding. All RPGs have it, and while FATE makes it fun, sometimes it can't always be fun. Grinding x amount of this monster when they don't always respawn makes it a chore when you're forced to dive deeper and yet be underleveled for it. Gear can only carry you so far.All in all, for the game's time, it would be a solid 9\/10. Rating it now, compared to beasts like Breath of the Wild, Just Cause, or even Minecraft, it does lose a few points, but is still a solid 7.5 out of ten. Worth the price, but worth even more caught on sale. Highly recommended!!
